Religious leaders pray for immigation reform

HOUSTON

Cardinal Daniel Dinardo of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston says a group of diverse religious leaders are working together to better handle the immigration issue.

"Almost every religious faith has something in it about the immigrant, the stranger, the widow, the oprhan. That's part of what our regular meetings are about, on this issue," Dinardo said.

The Houston Area Interfaith Campaign for Humane Immigration Reform also broke ground on what will become the Texas Interfaith Peace Garden in southwest Houston.
