Arlington police say a car carrying five young people struck a tree around 3 a.m. Monday. Police spokeswoman Tiara Ellis Richard says alcohol and speed appear to be factors in the wreck.
Richard told The Associated Press that the driver and his brother, who was a passenger, were dead at the scene. Richard says a female passenger died at a hospital.
Two young men suffered serious injuries and were transported to a hospital. Richard didn't have further details on their conditions.
Richard says an Arlington officer noticed a flame or a bright light and came upon the wreck. Police say the accident caused a small fire.
