Houston police were called to a strip center parking lot on Bissonnet at Southwest Freeway around 5:45am.
According to investigators, the victim was shot in the parking lot after an argument with the suspect over a girl.
Witnesses said multiple gunshots -- between five and 20 -- rang out. The victim was struck twice, including once in the head.
The shooter fled the scene, running over the victim in the parking lot. Police said the suspect's vehicle then crashed into a brick wall behind a Burger King, but kept going.
The victim was transported to an area hospital. It is unknown if he will survive.
Two suspects were in custody by Sunday evening, police said. Charges are pending and their names have not been released.
