On Tuesday, police said they were looking for help to find 35-year-old Marcus Wayne Smith. He is accused of forcing a 27-year-old woman to withdraw money from an ATM on July 21, after which she is said to have been taken back to her apartment and sexually assaulted. Then police say she was put in the trunk of her car and driven to a landfill on the South Beltway where she was sexually assaulted again.
Just last week, he was charged with aggravated sexual assault, but police were unable to find him.
Police Wednesday say Smith was arrested in Beaumont where he is now being held.
