Fire investigators in Commerce are seeking the cause of Monday night's blaze. City spokesman Marty Cunningham says the residence was about 50 percent engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived.
Officials say Annette Reyes of Commerce was transported to a Greenville hospital, where she later died.
Commerce is 60 miles northeast of Dallas.
