It happened around 2am on FM 2920 near Gosling. Investigators say the driver was going westbound on FM 2920 before drifting off the roadway. The driver then crashed his Mitsubishi Eclipse into a car repair and sales lot, causing his car to flip an unknown number of times.
Police say there is no evidence he was intoxicated. They believe he may have fallen asleep at the wheel. But that remains under investigation.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The man's identity has not been released.
