Info sought in woman's hit-and-run death on Beltway

HOUSTON

On August 15, authorities say Nastacia Luter, 24, was involved in a single-car accident which left her vehicle stalled on the N. Beltway East heading eastbound. She was in a moving lane of traffic when she was struck by a white Dodge Intrepid and a red Freightliner 18-wheeler.

The driver of the Dodge fled the scene and failed to stop and render aid. The driver of the 18-wheeler immediately pulled to the right shoulder and called 911.

Luter is believed to have been struck by additional vehicles before emergency responders could arrive. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
