A convoy left from Pasadena after 7am. CenterPoint says its crew of 80 workers is expected to arrive in Washington D.C. Sunday afternoon.
They will work 12 to 16 hour shifts to clear tree limbs and debris, replace downed power poles, and restore power to residents along the east coast.
