Joshua Timothy Logan on Monday pleaded guilty to murder in the death of 57-year-old Terry Baird of The Colony. A Denton County jury on Thursday ordered the 31-year-old Logan to serve life behind bars.
Attorneys for Logan say he was suffering from drug-induced psychosis during the 2010 attack in The Colony. The Dallas Morning News reports witnesses chased Logan and held him for police.
No motive was given for the killing, in which Logan was accused of coming behind the victim and slashing his throat.
