Suspect breaks into U.S. Arab Chamber of Commerce
HOUSTON
This all happened in the middle of the day in a building along Shepherd just north of Westheimer.
Surveillance video recorded Monday afternoon shows the man looking around the offices of the U.S. Arab Chamber of Commerce. You see him grab a laptop and shove it down the front of his pants. This happened on the same floor that houses the regional offices of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
"We feel very secure because we share a floor with Homeland Security and they are also above and below us, so we always joke about how we feel fairly secure. We don't feel that way anymore," said Aida Araissi, president U.S. Arab Chamber of Commerce.
The surveillance cameras did not catch this man as he rummaged around the chamber's storage room in the offices.
If you recognize the man in the video, you are urged to call the police.
