Councilmember Jones to answer charges of misconduct

Houston city council member Jolanda Jones will appear before a three-member panel this morning, to answer to charges of misconduct Fellow council member Mike Sullivan filed the charges. The Office of Inspector General found Jones used city employees to run her personal law practice.

Jones will be represented on the panel by council member C.O. Bradford, while Sullivan will be represented by council member Sue Lovell. Mayor Annise Parker will be the third member of the panel.

Jones faces punishment -- ranging from reprimands to removal from office.
