League City manager discusses decision to leave
LEAGUE CITY, TX
We told you League City's City Manager Marcus Jahns and assistant city manager of public works announced their resignations at the City Council meeting.
Jahns told us he decided to quit because he feared the new City Council planned to do more micromanaging and get more involved in day-to-day affairs of running the city.
"What I see is the council getting more and more involved and my fear is there's gonna get more and more politics involved in the daily decision making process" he said. "For that reason I saw this thing bogging down and I felt it was important i find something else to do."
The city of League City has not returned our calls to respond to Jahns' comments.
