Woman sentenced for stealing $200,000 from employer

HOUSTON

Joyce Battaglia was the comptroller for Bernardo Footwear, an international women's shoe company. She would siphon thousands of dollars from the company's payroll into her own account.

During Wednesday's sentencing hearing, it was revealed she had also embezzled money from several other companies as well.

She was given a 45-year sentence.
