Katy ISD plans to rehire laid off teachers

KATY, TX The legislature has not reached a budget compromise, but cuts to school funding are expected to be around $4 billion statewide. Katy ISD is still considering reducing its contributions to employee health plans.

The school board has backed off from cutting bus routes not mandated by the state.
