Lightning sparks house fire in Fort Bend County

HOUSTON It happened at a home on Cimmaron Oak near Butterstone Ridge. A lightning strike hit the home around 6:30pm last night. A couple inside the house heard the lightning, then smelled smoke and ran outside to discover their roof was on fire.

Firefighters knocked out the flames before it spread to other homes. No one was hurt.
