A natural gas leak prompted a shelter in place order for schools in Mont Belvieu, but the situation is back to normal now. According to the assistant superintendent of Barbers Hill ISD, a Mont Belvieu city crew doing utility work hit a CenterPoint line in the 9600 block of Eagle Drive at about 8:30am. Barbers Hill ISD schools sheltered in place as a precaution and Eagle Drive was closed to traffic.

The line has since been fixed and the shelter in place order has been lifted. There were no injuries.
