The 4-month-old was being treated in a Fort Worth hospital last year. After a doctor became suspicious about why the baby would stop breathing, he was placed in a video-monitored room.
The child is now in foster care after emergency personnel rushed in and saved his life.
Defense attorney David Jones argued Thursday that Scott did not cause any serious injuries to her baby. Jurors earlier saw hospital video footage showing Scott trying to smother her infant.
