Detectives seek ID of driver in fatal hit and run

HOUSTON

The accident happened as the victim was riding his bike around 12:28am on Monday March 14 in the 6900 block of the Gulf Freeway, according to a Crime Stoppers statement. The victim was struck by a 1997 white Ford Explorer with North Carolina License plate YPL-5080.

The driver of the Explorer left the vehicle at the scene of the accident and fled on foot. The victim died at the scene.
