Oakland Mayor Jean Quan traveling to China
OAKLAND, Calif. Quan will be traveling with Port of Oakland authorities. She'll be meeting business leaders in Beijing, Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Quan, who is Oakland's first Chinese-American mayor, wants to try to increase maritime trade volume and focus on exports that will generate jobs. She also wants to develop direct air service between Oakland and China to increase tourism.
