Pearland to install advanced traffic light system
PEARLAND, TX
It's planned for FM 518 between Kirby and FM 1128. Traffic can get really congested in and around the Highway 288 and 518 interchange and it stays that way through Silverlake.
The system will collect traffic data through the use of detection cameras and use the data to determine the amount of time a light stays red or green.
The project is expected to be completed in August.
