Dallas Zoo reopens after chase for suspect
DALLAS, TX
Police said the man remained at large Friday. He was wanted on a
probation violation related to an aggravated robbery.
Dallas police Sgt. Warren Mitchell says officers were serving a
warrant at a nearby apartment when two men, including the one they
wanted, ran and jumped a fence into the zoo.
One of the men was quickly detained and later released. Police
evacuated a portion of the zoo while they searched for the wanted
man.
No one was admitted to the zoo for several hours during the
search.
