Officer won't face charges in deadly crash

HOUSTON

A Harris County grand jury declined to indict HPD Officer Kyle Dozier in connection with the August 30, 2010 crash in southwest Houston. Officer Dozier was heading to a call without his emergency lights on when he crashed into a car. Estella Medrano, 67, died in the crash, which also left her husband critically injured.

Medrano's family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the city.
