ATV accident injures at least one person

KATY, TX

Late Friday, investigators were still on the scene of the accident, which occurred on Pitts Road and Morton Road.

An ATV carrying four passengers struck a light pole. One of those passengers, a 14-year-old girl, was transported via LifeFlight to Memorial Hermann Hospital in serious condition. Officials expect her to survive.

The other three passengers were also taken to local hospitals, one transported by ambulance and other two taken by their parents. We don't yet know the ages of the other passengers.

Waller County deputies were called out to the scene to investigate, but we're told DPS is planning on leading the investigation.
