Three HISD schools no longer in jeopardy of closing

HOUSTON

The district is no longer considering closing Burrus, N.Q. Henderson, and Port Houston elementary schools, but 14 other campuses are still at risk for closure.

The district says those schools just don't have enough students to cover the costs of running the campuses.
