Two Fort Hood soldiers killed in Iraq attack

WASHINGTON The Department of Defense on Wednesday announced the soldiers died Saturday after coming under attack in Babil, Iraq.

The victims were 26-year-old Staff Sgt. Quadi S. Hudgins of New Orleans and 30-year-old Sgt. Christian A. S. Garcia of Goodyear, Ariz.

Both were assigned to the Maintenance Troop, Regimental Support Squadron of the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment of Fort Hood. The sprawling post is in Central Texas.
