Suspect arrested in stabbing death of security guard
HOUSTON
The suspect, Antone Richie, 53, was taken into custody on Sunday without incident, according to Houston police. Richie is charged with murder, accused in the killing of Jim Andrew Lee. Lee suffered multiple cuts and stab wounds and was transported from his home to LBJ Hospital on March 22. Doctors pronounced the 58-year-old Lee dead on March 26.
Police say Lee worked as a security guard at an office building and parking garage at 5353 West Alabama. An investigation determined Lee got into an altercation with Richie, who was digging through a dumpster at the office building about 6:15 a.m. on March 21. At some point, police say Richie pulled a knife and stabbed Lee several times.
Further investigation identified Richie's whereabouts and he was taken into custody. Police say Richie has admitted to his involvement in Lee's death.
