Law officers in the Houston area have asked the public for help in identifying the body of a burned woman. The Brazoria County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday released details about the victim and a sketch.

Deputies on Jan. 31 responded to a report of a body found burning east of State Highway 288 in Rosharon.

The victim is identified as a black female who was approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighed about 120 pounds. The sketch shows a woman with short, dark hair and wearing large gold hoop earrings. She appears to have a space between her two front teeth.

Burned pieces of camouflage pants were recovered at the scene.

Rosharon is 25 miles south of Houston.
