One dead, one critically injured in East Loop crash

HOUSTON

The accident happened overnight along the East Loop and Flagship Road. Police say a pickup truck was driving the wrong way just before 3am Sunday morning. The driver crashed head on into another truck. The man who was driving the truck the wrong way died on impact.

The other driver was taken to Ben Taub Hospital in critical condition.

No word on why the driver was going the wrong way or if alcohol played a role in the crash.
