Cocaine seized from passenger at IAH
HOUSTON
On Monday, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized more than 5 pounds of cocaine from a passenger who was at Bush Intercontinental Airport headed to Amsterdam. Authorities say Pablo Moreno, 45, a citizen of Spain, arrived from Nicaragua and was being interviewed by CBP officers when a CBP K-9 alerted to his bags.
CBP officers conducted a thorough inspection of the Moreno's baggage and personal belongings and found a white powdery substance which tested positive for cocaine.
Moreno was turned over to the Houston Police Department.
