Pitcher Wandy Rodriguez and the Houston Astros have reached agreement on a three-year contract worth $34 million. The Astros announced the deal Tuesday. They said it will be finalized after Rodriguez takes a physical on Thursday.

Rodriguez was 11-12 with a 3.60 ERA last season. The 32-year-old lefty is 62-64 in six seasons.

Rodriguez made $5 million last year and was eligible for salary arbitration. He had asked for $10.25 million and the Astros offered $8 million.
