The Texans are coming together on the defensive side of the ball. On Thursday, the team added a linebackers coach. Reggie Herring is joining the Texans, replacing Johnny Holland. Herring was on Dom Capers' staff the first two seasons the Texans were in existence. He then went to North Carolina State and Arkansas as defensive coordinator.

He also worked on the Cowboys coaching staff for a couple of seasons under the Texans new defensive coordinator, Wade Phillips.

The Texans were 6-10 last season and will draft 11th overall in April's NFL Draft.
