World's top golfer commits to play in Shell Houston Open

HOUSTON Lee Westwood, the number one golfer in the world, has committed to play in the tournament March 28 to April 3. This will be Westwood's third straight Shell Houston Open appearance and his fifth overall.

Since the tournament was moved to the week before the Masters, the fields have gotten stronger. Westwood is the first number one player in the world to play the shell since David Duval in 1999.
