A reward is being offered to find the person or persons behind what the Pearland Fire Marshal's Office believe was an arson fire yesterday. The fire broke out in the 4000 block of Jasmine Street around 12:30am. Firefighters say heavy smoke and fire was shooting from the attic space and rolling down the front of the single-story home.

The residents inside were woken up by a neighbor and were able to escape with no major injuries.

Investigators say evidence at the scene points toward an intentionally set fire. A complete investigation is underway.

If you have any information concerning this fire, you're encouraged to contact the Pearland fire marshal at 281-651-1954. Information provided that results in an arrest and conviction is eligible for the reward.
