One dead in wreck on Eastex Freeway

HOUSTON It happened on the Eastex Freeway near Crosstimbers around 10pm Saturday night.

Police say a Ford Mustang clipped a pickup truck causing the pickup to flip. A woman inside the truck was thrown from the vehicle and died on the freeway. Then the mustang hit another car before slamming into a concrete wall.

The driver of the mustang is in police custody, suspected of driving under the influence. It's not yet clear if he'll face criminal charges.
