Salazar was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and is currently being held at the Pearland City Jail on a $30,000 bond.
SWAT scene in Pearland ends peacefully
PEARLAND, TX
Last night, Pearland police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 2400 block of Laura in the Parkview subdivision. Police say a woman got out of the home, but a man was still inside with a 7-year-old child. Investigators say the suspect, Domingo Salazar, wouldn't let the child go and they thought he had a gun. Salazar possibly had a protective order barring him from the location.
Officers received information that Salazar possibly had weapons in the house and the decision was made to call SWAT to the scene. After several hours, Salazar ultimately surrendered to police. No injuries were reported.
