Raid nets lab equipment and drug chemicals

Officials seized several pounds of powdered chemicals and liquids from a home in Spring

Investigators are trying to determine who may be responsible for some illegal narcotics found at a home in Spring. At about 10am Monday, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Special Investigations Unit served a narcotics search warrant at a home in the 29000 block of West Pecos River Court in Spring. The SIU had received information that illicit controlled substances were being manufactured and trafficked. The warrant which was served without incident.

Officials say an electronic pill press and other laboratory equipment, including glass ware, an electronic scale, heating elements, recipes and a vacuum pump, were seized along with several pounds of powdered chemicals and liquids. Several individual containers of suspected growth hormone (steroids) were seized along with assorted paraphernalia from the residence.

No arrests were made at the scene. This investigation is continuing.
