Police: Wires found at Baytown synagogue harmless
HOUSTON
Baytown police received a call about an unwanted homeless man at the steps of the religious temple in the 100 block of West Sterling.
Later, they received another call from synagogue officials about wires found on its premises and anti-Semitic words and writing in reference to the removal of the homeless man scribbled on the building's front door. No explosives were found.
Police suspect the homeless man was responsible for the incident as a form of retaliation. They're now searching for the man, who will likely be charged with terroristic threat and criminal mischief.
