Officer pulls gun on woman during traffic altercation

HOUSTON Investigators say the officer had pulled over to help a disabled 18-wheeler on the North Freeway Thursday morning. A woman driving a van almost hit the officer.

She pulled over and got into an argument that grew so intense the officer pulled out his gun for protection. An HPD wrecker driver saw the argument and called for backup.

The woman was detained. Police had to call her husband to pick up three children in the van.
