Body found in northwest Houston ditch

HOUSTON The victim was discovered near Wheatley and Tidwell around 4:45pm Tuesday afternoon. The worker told police the man's body was partially submerged in the ditch. Police believe he had been there for about 18 hours.

The victim, 32, suffered a possible gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's identity has not been released.

Shortly afterward, police say an abandoned vehicle was recovered in southwest Houston with physical evidence inside of it believed related to the male's death. Robbery is believed to be the motive in this incident.

There are no know suspects at this time.
