The Houston SPCA Animal Cruelty Investigations teamed jumped into action when they were notified by TX Dot workers of a dog that was found 20 feet down in a storm drain. TxDOT workers were checking the storm drain on the feeder of 59 South and Beltway 8 when they discovered the dog. They worked quickly to rescue the frightened dog out of the storm drain. They rushed him to the Houston SPCA for a medical evaluation.

The dog has been named 'Luckie.' He is being held on stray hold in hopes that someone who is missing him will come forward to claim him.

If this is your dog, please contact the Houston SPCA and make sure to bring a photo of Luckie with you along with any of his medical history to the Houston SPCA.
