Speed may have played role in serious accident

HOUSTON It happened on Thompson and Dawkins in east Harris County around midnight. Investigators tell us the driver was speeding when he lost control, hit a culvert and went airborne over a fence.

The driver was flown to the hospital with serious back injuries.
