The wounded officer's partner then used a Taser to subdue the attacker and arrested all five people. The officer was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital with a sprained ankle.

Police say the officer pulled over an SUV going the wrong way on Wayside. The officer says all five people in the car were intoxicated. When he attempted to arrest the driver for DWI and the four passengers for public intoxication, one of the suspects in the car attacked the officer, injuring the officer's leg.
