Dead body found near school in Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, TX According to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department, the body was found in a drainage ditch off of Tangle Brush Drive near Green Haven Drive. Around 10:30am, a man walking his dog saw what he believed was a dead body in the ditch. He investigated further and then notified the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.

When deputies arrived, they found a dead body in the drainage ditch in about a foot of water. They determined the body is of a middle age white male. Investigators believe the identity of the victim is a nearby resident known to have existing medical conditions.

Glen Loch Elementary is located near the scene of the discovery.

An autopsy will be performed.
