STAMFORD, CT
Fifty-seven-year-old John Michael Farren, who worked in both
Bush administrations, refused to answer many questions Monday in
Stamford Superior Court. The hearing on whether to uphold a freeze
on up to $15 million worth of Farren's assets is set to continue
Thursday.
Police say Farren beat and strangled 43-year-old Mary Farren at
their New Canaan home in January, two days after she filed for
divorce. He has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and other
charges, and he's being held in lieu of $2 million bail.
Mary Farren is suing for damages in the attack.
