Robbery suspect fatally shot by officer

HOUSTON Investigators say officers were patrolling an area around Bellerive near Bonhomme around 11:30pm when they pulled into a convenience store and saw customers down on the floor.

Two men ran out of the store. One was caught immediately and arrested, but the other man had a gun and pointed it at an officer. The officer told him to drop the weapon. When he didn't respond, the officer opened fire and killed him.

The two suspects had robbed the store of cash.
