On Tuesday, Houston Mayor Annise Parker will head to Washington, DC, to talk to lawmakers and the head of NASA. "To rethink their decisions on the cancellation of the Constellation program and the devastating impact that could have on the city of Houston," she said.

Mayor Parker says cutting the Constellation program could cost the Houston area up to 7,000 high-tech jobs. The mayor also estimates the region could lose $560 million. The mayor will also meet with each member of the local congressional delegation.
