Good news for some of the best offensive players in the NFC. They won't have to stare across the line at Texans Defensive Rookie of the Year Brian Cushing in next week's Pro Bowl. The Texans standout rookie linebacker announced Friday that he'll sit out the annual clash between conferences. According to the Texans website, Cushing, one of three rookies picked as Pro Bowlers this year, withdrew because of lingering injuries, including ones to his his foot, knee and rib, along with a broken finger.

The Texans will still have a team record four players making the trip to Miami for the game. Wide receiver Andre Johnson and defensive end Mario Williams were selected for the game and quarterback Matt Schaub is going as a replacement for the injured Tom Brady.
