Arctic blast costs Texas $70 million

The arctic blast from last week had a big impact on homeowners all across the state. The Insurance Council of Texas says the freezing temperatures caused $70 million in losses in Texas. The main problem was from ruptured water pipes. People who live in north Texas had the most damage.

The average cost for a homeowner to fix the pipe problem was $9,000.
