School worker killed by Fed Ex truck

ROSENBERG, TX Officers arrived at the location to find a male LCISD employee had been hit, allegedly by a Fed Ex delivery truck. Police say the truck was leaving the bus barn facility after making a delivery when the driver struck a pedestrian. The driver reportedly did not see the pedestrian, as the pedestrian was in the vehicle's blind spot.

Police say the driver did not realize that he had hit a person and traveled approximately 30 feet before stopping to check his truck. The driver then realized that he hit a person and the police were called.

The victim was taken to Oak Bend Medical Center where he died. The victim's identification will be released upon the notification of his immediate family.

At this time, charges are not expected to be filed against the Fed Ex driver.
