Officer's widow sues city, HPD chief

HOUSTON According to court documents, Joslyn Johnson is suing the City of Houston, the police department and Chief Hurtt over the death of her husband, Officer Rodney Johnson, three years ago.

Officer Johnson was shot and killed during a traffic stop in southeast Houston. He was killed by an illegal immigrant who had a gun hidden in his pants. Previously, Johnson filed a lawsuit against the Pasadena gun store where her husband's convicted killer, Juan Quintero, got that gun.
